Russia to raise investment in Lavna terminal to 36.9 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Feb 21 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has ordered to increase investment in the construction of the Lavna coal transshipment terminal in the city of Murmansk to 36.9 billion rubles from 24 billion rubles, as seen by PRIME in the government’s documents on Monday.

Investment in a railway line to the terminal will be raised to 1.3 billion rubles from 0.9 billion rubles.

The government also decided to expand the concession agreement until December 31, 2043 from until December 31, 2038.

The first two stages of Lavna coal terminal are to have a capacity of 9 million tonnes each. The project also encompasses the possibility of construction of a third stage and of a 6-million-tonne mineral fertilizer terminal in the port.
